Types of EV chargers

An increase in the demand for automobiles has led to the introduction of electric vehicles that not only serve the purpose of commutation, plus also help save the environment. As we all know these vehicles need to be charged timely for undisturbed driving. So, here is a glimpse of the two major types of EV Rapid charger that you could use for fast charging electric vehicles:

1.    Vehicle side EV connector: Just like your smartphones have charging cables that are plugged into the side of the phone, these EV connectors slide into the socket on your vehicle. Depending on the type of vehicle and socket the vehicle has, you need to choose a connector.
2.    Charge point EV connector: Ideally, this connector type is used as top-up chargers at the workplace, home, or destinations. You can find them in single-pin or sometimes 3 pin plug options to charge.

Depending on the type of vehicle you have and the connector capacity, ideally, it takes approximately 8 hours to charge a vehicle from zero charges to full, if you are using a 7kW charging point. However, it is always better to have a top-up charging to ensure that the vehicle doesn't get completely drained off.
